Finally solved my new book discovery problem by building an AI agent. Glorious results! Try it and tell me if it saves you a ton of time too: crow.fyi

Here is why I built this and how it works.

Every Tuesday, new books flood the market. As a voracious reader, I should be excited about this weekly treasure trove. Instead, I drown in a sea of irrelevant recommendations.

Despite having my reading history, Goodreads and Amazon don't help me discover great books tailored to my taste.

My old process was painful: I had bookmarked 24 different Amazon category pages for new releases, forcing me to sift through hundreds of books every Tuesday.

The pages were cluttered with questionable entries - like finding a romance novel with a bare-chested man on its cover in the business books section.

I'd waste precious time clicking on promising covers, only to spend more time scrolling to the Editorial Reviews section, hunting for recognizable names or credible endorsements.

With 30 books per page across 24 categories, that's just too many books to review. There had to be a better way. I decided to build it.

Enter crow - an AI agent that does all this heavy lifting for you. The setup is simple but powerful: when you sign up, you can select your interests through a 5-level deep category system that maps to 5,083 Amazon book categories.

Don't worry about getting lost - the interface narrows down options based on your selections. For example: Mystery, Thriller & Suspense > Suspense > Paranormal > Werewolves & Shifters.

Every Tuesday, crow goes to work. It checks new releases in your selected categories, examines each book's editorial reviews, and uses AI to evaluate the credibility of endorsements.

The agent distinguishes between widely recognized, reputable endorsers and promotional quotes from industry insiders. Only books with strong, credible endorsements make it to your personalized page.

Mine looks like this: crow.fyi/bora

I'm pretty stoked with my results! I've bookmarked my page and will check it every Tuesday instead of Amazon's category pages. I bought a few already that hadn't been surfaced to me before.

I'd love to hear about the hidden gems crow helps you discover. Drop me a note when you find something extraordinary!

My 4-year-old son is forever hungry for stories. I constantly have to come up with stories to tell him. The stories have to have specific things in them. Dada, tell me a story with a... chipmunk, an excavator, and an osprey. Ok... I come up with a story, make it
